There is something refreshing about watching someone that understands his craft. Tenue de Nimes made this short video during their interview with Nigel Cabourn about his 2010 collection. He drops alot of wisdom in this video making it worth the watch.
I enjoyed the passage where he spoke about certain fabrics. The rarity of the indian made cotton he mentions justifies the high price one pays for the piece of clothing or bag.
At this point, if I buy anything, I need to respect the brands heritage and know that they used quality materials to create their products. Which is usually why I like to shop second hand or during sales.. Videos like this are excellent because they prove the quality of the clothes. You can tell Nigel is passionate about what he does and so spending a little extra to buy a labour of love is a fair deal to me.
