Last night we went to the pre listening of Sade’s new album Soldier of Love. The whole evening was organized flawlessly and went by way too fast. First a couple swiss artists (Marc Sway, Adrian Stern, Lea Lu) played their renditions of Sade classics. Following that they played the new Sade album.
Its amazing that an artist that has been out of the game for so long can come back so strong. If you like Sade there are no surprises on this new album. Her songwriting is top notch! A little surprise is how dope the drum programming on the new album is! The best thing about this is that its truly a long play. Not two singles packed with a bunch of mediocre songs. You can tell that they set out to create a cohesive album that shines from beginning to end. Im on my third listen this morning and its not even lunch yet. :-)
