Could there be a more annoying yet critical part of every mans wardrobe than the dress shirt? For some reason I just cant get it right. I officially give up.
It all starts with buying the damn things. There are just so many things you need to consider… Buttons / Collars / Cuffs / Placket & Pleats!
Really?
Once you have that out the way you need to deal with all the different fits; Slim Fit, Relaxed Fit, Classic Fit. And just to make things interesting every company out their has their own take on each fit. So its basically a guessing game. You HAVE to try them all on in store.
Theres the one thats a little too tight.. And then the one that fits nicely but its too long. The one thats perfect except the collars are the size of miniature wings!
And then when you finally think you have it! The one that fits perfectly! You pay for it completely satisfied that you made an educated well thought out buy.
Wear it a day.
Throw it into the washing machine, shake if off and let it dry.
Try it on. Oh look!
It Shrunk.
I hate the dress shirt.

You should look into getting them tailored.
