In case you havent noticed Susan held down considerthis all alone last week. I was busy sailing the adriatic during yacht week. It must have been one of the most beautiful and crazy weeks of my life. First off croatia is absolutely gorgeous. We visited Milna, Komicza, Vis, Hvar, Soltar, Trogir and Split. And each night there was another party to go to. Needless to say food and drinks where very well priced and so we didnt do much eating on the yacht. The yacht week is a pretty crazy concept. On any given week there are about 50 yachts each with crews ranging from 6-10 people. They all go from one town to the next. You are free to do whatever you want during the week or sail to any destination. But each night, the yacht week organizes a range of parties in one location. So nights are spent partying and the next day you begin the process of sobering up with help of the ocean winds and water. Only to again party excessively as soon as the boat docks!
I was skeptical at first as to how good yacht week would be. But thanks to the beauty of croatia and the way sailing makes you feel I wouldn’t mind going again! Heres the short video of the trip. Needless to say there isnt alot of footage at night, the camera was lying in the hull of the boat while we were out! I already posted the Boratto song we listened to during the trip. This Kalkbrenner track (Sky And Sand) on the video was the other song that was playing on the boat all week!
..And this bonus video is our crew doing their best carlton impression.
Usually I spend my Sundays lying in bed until lunch, slowly getting ready and then going to brunch at some point in the afternoon. After brunch I walk around town stopping at different places to either eat or drink coffee and then go home. Yesterday though, I woke up, cleaned the apartment, and went to Yoga! The Yoga was part of the Smart Urban Stage which is in Zurich until the 12.09 in Puls 5. I didn’t expect Yoga to be that hard, but today, muscles that I didn’t know I have are in pain. The area is really nice and you can test the new Smart electric drive there. After Yoga, we went off to the Zurich Openair festival to see Prodigy (was really muddy!)
So this friday thanks to Sarah I was helping out a little backstage at the Young At Art fashion show while the hipsters and stylers sat upstairs and actually got to watch the show! It was def. a nice experience to see how a fashion show was put together. Everyone running around and getting ready. The wonderful mix of egos that clash at a show like this; models, make up artists, hair dressers, photographers, designers, and the list goes on. I regret not being able to take more pictures of the people there because once it started we where cooped up backstage getting instructions on how to dress the models. Nevertheless there was some nice outfits on display. Heres a small dose of imagery that should give you an Idea of what the YoungAtArt fashion show was like.
Shout out to Pascal for lending me his camera as well as being a easy model to deal with!
So I was in Paris this weekend and a quick look through my pictures made me realize how cool parisians make smoking. Thought it was funny so I selected a couple pictures of parisians doing their thing.. Try to spot the american trying his best to blend in…
Chiddy Bang really rocked Exil yesterday. They didnt waste anytime getting the crowd hyped into their 45 minute set. At one point the dreaded word “freestyle” came up and I thought “oh no, not another rapper that claims they can freestyle.” The following words where chosen from the crowd; Switzerland, Titty Bars, Spice Girls, Fondue, Arizona and Kellogs.
Sorry about the audio quality but I recorded the freestyle and how blown away everyone was! He KILLED it. Heres the video;
Been seeing these old dutch bikes around town lately. Id love to trade riding a track bike for the comfortable upright position you get when riding these bad boys. My company of choice would have to be Gazelle they make some beautiful bikes.
Last saturday I utterly enjoyed a day of visiting the various fleamarkets in Zürich. Next to the classics such as the Bürkli platz flea, there was the Fritschi Wiese market as well as one @ Bogen 33. Not too sure what its like in other cities, but I have yet to see another fleamarket that has a DJ and a pool with ice cold water. Nice!
Last week I had the chance sit in during a photo shoot for the young fashion label Aziza Zina which is now in its second season. Just watching Janosch and Lisa do their thing was pretty inspirational. Also being their first hand to watch David & Rebecca work their magic with the make up and hair styling was really nice!
Up until the shoot I thought of modeling as not being that difficult. That really changed watching Lisa through the course of the afternoon. Just staying focused through all the outfit changes and managing to hit poses like no ones business is hard work.
Cant wait to see the finished lookbook. Its gonna be hard to top the first one from pixelfarm
